Aggiorna il tuo PC industriale con le nuove versioni di Windows

Microsoft ha cessato di fornire qualunque tipo di supporto, anche a pagamento, per Windows XP Embedded (XPe) e Pro for Embedded System (XPPe), quelli che sono indubbiamente i sistemi operativi più longevi dell'intera storia del colosso di Redmond.
Come comportarsi, quindi, se stai utilizzando ancora dei computer Windows XPe/XPPe?
Perchè dovresti effettuare l'aggiornamento?
Cosa significa "fine del supporto" per Windows XP Embedded e Pro for Embedded System?
Microsoft ha fornito supporto per Windows XPe/XPPe per quasi 13 anni. Ora è però giunto il momento, per Microsoft e per i suoi partner hardware e software, di investire le risorse disponibili nel supporto di tecnologie più recenti, in modo da continuare a offrire nuove esperienze di qualità.
Pertanto, l'assistenza tecnica per Windows XPe/XPPe, inclusi gli aggiornamenti automatici che ti consentono di proteggere il PC, non è più disponibile.
Cosa accade se continuo a usare Windows XP Embedded e Pro for Embedded System?
Se continui a usare Windows XPe/XPPe ora che è terminato il supporto, il tuo computer funzionerà comunque, ma potrebbe diventare più vulnerabile ai rischi per la sicurezza e ai virus se collegato alla rete Lan interconnessa alla rete Internet.
Nemmeno Internet Explorer 8 è più supportato, quindi se il tuo PC Windows XPe/XPPe è connesso a Internet e utilizzi Internet Explorer 8 per navigare nel Web, potresti esporre il tuo PC a ulteriori minacce.
Come posso proteggere il mio IPC?
Due sono le possibili opzioni per proteggere il IPC, ora che è terminato il supporto:
- Aggiorna il tuo computer industriale
Con Windows 8.1 o Windows 7 Embedded o Windows 7 Pro. Attualmente sono pochi i pc nel settore industriale usciti recentemente che supportano il nuovo Windows 10
- Acquista un nuovo computer industriale
Che possa supportare Windows 10 / Windows 8 o almeno Windows 7 e contatta il tuo commerciale di riferimento per offerta.
Ogni prodotto Windows ha un ciclo di vita.
Il ciclo di vita ha inizio quando il prodotto viene rilasciato sul mercato e termina quando non è più supportato.
Conoscere le date più importanti di questo ciclo di vita significa poter prendere decisioni informate relativamente a quando aggiornare o apportare altre modifiche al software.
