XLG series of Mean Well LED drivers grows and adds two new power supplies

The XLG series created by Mean Well in 2019 was and still is one of the most popular and best-selling in the outdoor lighting market. The success was such that two more products were developed to add to the series, in order to expand the range of power supplies in the XLG series: the XLG-20 and XLG-320 with 20W and 320W respectively. The XLG family expands its boundaries and increases its offering even further to meet market demands

What are the most interesting applications for the XLG series?

The XLG-20 series features a constant-current design and provides three different outputs (350/500/700mA) that can be used directly with LED SMD or COB. The compact dimensions of 95x63x30mm are suitable for a wide variety of indoor and outdoor lighting devices, including street lamps, proof lights, recessed lights and LED downlights.

The XLG-320 features constant power and the ability to adjust the output current between three preset ranges between 1050-1400mA /2100-2800mA and 5500-7400mA. The constant wattage design has the advantage of being able to provide a wide current range for different LED applications, which improves the overall efficiency of the luminaires and allows them to be used in outdoor floodlights, horticultural lighting and many other applications. Finally, these series offer three-in-one dimming, complying with the latest IEC61347/UL8750 and GB7000.1 standards.

Both solutions can be ordered with protection rating IP67 to allow them to be used on outdoor lighting fixtures, such as in theme parks, gardens and public lighting.

In addition to these versions, the XLG-320 has been equipped with a V version, which includes in the same model two constant output voltages (12V or 24V), selectable via a dip-switch.
